A cool new place just opened here in town. It’s called Murphy’s place and is a small smoked filled bar down at the 5th. near Sam’s.
It may not look at much at first glince but once you walk in and notice the atmosphere, start talking with some of the locals you will notice how great a place this is. Live music several days a week with both local bands and a few from across the sea too. I have been there three times now since they opened and it’s fast becomming one of my very favorite places.
Heck maybe me and Pete will try give a gig there at some point, would the perfect place to play. It wouldn’t matter if the pay is low and it doesn’t have the best surroundings for perfect sound it will be a great place to play anyway. Should we be playing there anytime soon, i’ll add a post here so those of you who want to come and see us will have a chance for that too. It is one of the best places in town for those who are into jazz music and swing.
